Here comes ‘Crisis’, Jake Fairley’s first full-length longplayer. The cover shows the CN-Tower, the highest Tv-Tower worldwide and the emblem of Jake Fairley’s home town Toronto. With ‘Crisis’ the canadian sends out a fine selection ranging from funky, moody floorfillers to deep, lovely distorted vocal-tracks. Two ambient tracks round off the album atmospherical. Altogether they illustrate Jakes charming, minimal style. ‘Crisis’ is his most complex and refined work to date. “That's the challenge right now: to make techno that has lasting power, but is still pushing things forward in terms of it's sound. That was my goal in making 'Crisis'.”
After the ‘CN Tower’ -12” and the extremely favoured ‘Exploder Ep’ from last year ‘Crisis’ is the third Release of Jake Fairley on the Berlin- based label Sender Records.
The CD features the LP-tracks plus two bonus-tracks and the ‘Exploder Ep’.
